ARK OF THE SUN GOD (aka Temple of Death) is an Italian/Turkish co-production from the 1980's video boom is a fast-paced, well-shot action/adventure yarn "inspired" by RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Cult icon David Warbeck (7 DOORS OF DEATH) stars as an Indy wannabe in search of the, well, ark of the sun god!

Warbeck plays an international man of mystery type who gets involved with the non-stop action and thrills as he tries to ply his trade as a safecracker to unlock the titular ark and 'liberate' the precious artifact. Director 'Anthony M. Dawson' is better known to Eurosleaze fans as his real name Antonio Margheriti and such cult anti-classics as CANNIBAL APOCALYPSE and many, many others.

ARK OF THE SUN GOD is proficient in action and set pieces at the expense of character and dialogue. But what else do you expect? It's actually more akin to a James Bond film than "pure" RAIDERS rip-off, but still: whether it's a high-speed boat chase on the ocean with Warbeck outwitting his machine-gun firing nemesis or an earthquake while he's trying to snatch the sacred treasure while down in a snake pit (sound familiar?), the excitement is pretty much unrelenting.

If you're into action flicks that value stunts and explosions over method acting, ARK OF THE SUN GOD is your shining light for fun!
