is a spooky, character-driven slasherfest stars none other
than Tab Hunter, who is a long way from his All American
Youth image in this seedy effort.
Directed by Curtis Hanson, who would
go on to bigger (but not necessarily much better) fare in
Hollywood, THE AROUSERS is a peek back
at the glorious (glory hole?) grindhouse days that Tarantino
and Rodriguez only hinted at in their recent flop "homage."
Also making an early, pre-PHANTASM appearance is cult fave
